Today we ventured out into the forest that towers over the neighbourhood only 2.5 blocks south from Sincerity! The damp, foggy morning only added a peace and calmness to the tall Douglas Firs and naked maple trees. We began our journey by making maps with the intenion of finding "magic sticks". Someone else added that we needed "to hunt for volcanoes and dinosaur eggs!" We brought our snacks with us, blankets, and yarn. We began by making walls with extrememly long logs, that used team work to move. Next we used our yarn to create a marked path as we navigated through the trails! But as it goes some days, we did not find magic sticks, volcanoes or dinosaur eggs, but we found a WATERFALL and met 2 dogs along our travels!
We look forward to doing another Forest Walk soon!!!

Our First Project Begins....
As we moved braches from our plum tree, the children noticed how unique this one limb was. It was suggested that we get some hammers and try to "build something with it". That lead to blue paint, then Violet paint, then WHITE paint!!!! The blends of all 3 colours are wonderful!!!! Hoping to add some more to this unique piece of art, then incorporate it into our classroom environment with Thursday's class!
I love this job!
